Senior Compliance Analyst – Global MGA
Overview
A growing, internationally focused Managing General Agent (MGA) is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst to join its small but high-impact compliance function.
The business operates across multiple specialty lines, partnering with global carriers to deliver underwriting expertise and bespoke solutions across international markets. With ambitious growth plans, continued capacity expansion, and increasing geographic reach, the business is entering a key phase of development.
As a result, there is a need for a hands-on compliance professional to support the evolution of its frameworks and day-to-day regulatory activity.
The Role
This is a senior analyst position reporting directly to the Compliance Director, working as part of a lean team of two.
You will be involved in all aspects of compliance, from advisory and monitoring through to framework development and regulatory engagement. Given the size of the team, this role requires someone comfortable operating in a highly hands-on environment with broad exposure across the business.
You will work closely with underwriting, operations, and leadership teams, supporting a global platform with UK regulatory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Compliance Director in delivering the compliance framework and oversight plan
* Provide day-to-day compliance advice to underwriting and operational teams
* Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and controls
* Deliver compliance monitoring activities, including thematic reviews and file testing
* Support oversight of:
* Delegated authority and binder arrangements
* Carrier and capacity relationships
* International and cross-border business
* Assist with regulatory reporting and FCA engagement
* Contribute to governance processes, including committees and MI production
* Identify compliance risks and support the implementation of appropriate controls
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in insurance compliance within an MGA, broker, or insurer (essential)
* Good understanding of FCA requirements and the UK regulatory framework
* Exposure to delegated authority or MGA structures is highly desirable
* Experience in compliance monitoring and framework support
* Ability to work independently in a small team environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confidence engaging with stakeholders across the business
