Macmillan Frontline Specialist Adviser (Benefits)

Remote, UK (with monthly meetings in Coventry)

Coventry Citizens Advice has been supporting the local community for over 80 years, providing free, confidential and independent advice on a wide range of issues, from benefits and housing to employment and debt. As one of the city’s largest and most trusted charities, we are committed to helping people overcome challenges while championing the issues that matter most to our clients.

In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, we deliver dedicated financial advice services for people affected by cancer across Coventry and Warwickshire, helping individuals access benefits, grants and tailored support. Together, we provide timely, compassionate guidance at every stage, ensuring people receive the financial help they need, when they need it most.

We are now seeking to appoint a minimum of ten Macmillan Frontline Specialist Advisers to join us on a full‑time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be considered for the right candidates.

What You Will Do

As a Macmillan Frontline Specialist Adviser, you will act as the first point of contact for individuals affected by cancer, providing financial advice, guidance and support.

You will also support clients with practical financial assistance, including carrying out quick benefit checks and helping with applications such as Blue Badge requests, ensuring individuals can access the support they are entitled to.

Additionally, you will:

* Maintain accurate case records in line with data protection and audit requirements
* Facilitate referrals to partner organisations and specialist services
* Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures
* Contribute to service targets, evaluation and improvement activity
