Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Teach children and young people aged 2–19 with a range of complex needs including PMLD, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern
* Deliver a highly individualised, multi-sensory curriculum in a small, supportive class setting
* Use specialist strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction, and sensory integration techniques
* Work collaboratively with therapists, families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver impactful, pupil-centred support
* Build nurturing relationships that empower learners and promote both personal and academic growth
* Adapt teaching and assessment to support a wide range of learning profiles
Who We’re Looking For:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – applications from ECTs welcome!
* Solid understanding of child development and experience supporting learners with complex needs
* Confident working with Multi-Sensory Impairments (MSI), autism, medical needs, and behaviours of concern
* Creative, flexible and enthusiastic – able to think outside the box to engage every learner
* Team player who values collaborative, multidisciplinary work
* Resilient, adaptable, and energised by the challenges and rewards of SEN teaching
