We are now helping this impactful organisation recruit a passionate and strategic Principal Lead, Individual Giving & Legacies, who will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious strategy to grow income from individual donors and legacy giving.
Job Title: Principal Lead, Individual Giving & Legacies
Organisation: Social Welfare
Salary: £42,000 - £43,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Location: Salisbury (Hybrid)
Responsible To: Director of Fundraising

Responsibilities:
* Designing and implementing a fundraising strategy to increase donor acquisition, retention, and engagement.
* Managing direct mail appeals, regular giving, mid-value donor programs, and legacy promotion.
* Overseeing donor stewardship to enhance supporter experience and long-term commitment.
* Developing and leading a compelling legacy giving campaign.
* Managing and mentoring a team, including the Appeals & Regular Giving Officer, Legacy Officer, and Database & Gift Admin Officer.
* Ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and best practices.
* Collaborating with the Strategic Communications team to create impactful donor communications.
* Managing budgets, tracking performance, and reporting progress to the Director of Fundraising.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Proven experience in individual giving and legacy fundraising, with a track record of income growth.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing fundraising teams.
* Expertise in direct marketing, donor segmentation, and supporter engagement strategies.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage and steward donors.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and optimise fundraising performance.
* A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and strategy development.
