About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our brand-new 3-bed childrens residential care home. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of the home and build a supportive, child-centred culture from the ground up.
The home will support children with learning difficulties and complex needs, so we need someone with the expertise, resilience, and compassion to provide outstanding care. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of achieving Good or above in Ofsted inspections (minimum of 2 full inspections required).
This is not just a management role its a chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of children, while developing a high-performing team and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and best practice standards.
* Inspire, support, and develop your team to deliver safe, nurturing, and consistent care.
* Oversee care planning and ensure childrens individual needs are met.
* Create a positive environment that promotes wellbeing, dignity, and growth.
* Work closely with families, healthcare providers, and external agencies.
* Monitor staff performance, records, and compliance to maintain excellence.
* Drive continuous improvement through training, development, and innovation.
About You
Were seeking a strong leader who is passionate about creating safe and supportive homes for children. Youll bring:
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Manager in a multi-bed childrens home.
* Proven track record with at least 2 successful Ofsted inspections (graded Good or above).
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and care planning.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Compassion, resilience, and a commitment to high-quality care.
* Driving licence (preferred) or flexibility to meet the needs of young people.
Desirable: Experience with systems such as ClearCare (or similar), KPI management, and intranet-based care recording.
