The Role
As an Operations Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Leading our multi-site and multi-disciplined operations team based on our client EDF’s Nuclear sites.
Day-to-day, you’ll managing the safe delivery of projects, tasks and services as required by EDF.
1. Develop and manage the operations capability across the portfolio of site-based teams.
2. Provide operations leadership to the site teams, including communicating the vision and strategy for the operations site-based capability.
3. Responsible for stakeholder management, establishing and maintaining effective communications between Cavendish Nuclear and the client.
4. Accountable for managing multi-disciplinary teams based across multiple customer sites, carrying out various activities which may include engineering, installation, operations maintenance, commissioning, and decommissioning depending on the project site.
5. Lead and coordinate Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental for our site teams.
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Hartlepool, Heysham and Torness on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.
Essential Experience of the Operations Manager:
6. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator.
7. Experience of works planning and oversight.
8. Experience of managing and delivering projects within a complex environment.
9. Experience of deploying teams safely within the engineering or construction industry.
Qualifications for the Operations Manager:
10. NEBOSH or IOSH health and safety qualification.
11. MAPM is preferred but, not essential.
