Healthcare Support Worker - Ilchester Ward

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to join the team on Ilchester.
Ilchester has a friendly and welcoming team atmosphere. The 33 bedded medical ward cares for patients requiring close monitoring and observation following a medical admission, encompassing acute care skills, as well as patients requiring rehabilitation needs.

Please be aware that this role is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants should be aware of the requirement to independently obtain ongoing right to work in the UK beyond the expiry of any temporary or time-limited permissions. Evidence of this will need to be shared with the HR Team to ensure our records remain up to date.

Person Specification
Skills & Abilities
* Evidence of good communication skills
* Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality
* Evidence of ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation
* Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and visitors
* Have awareness for Health & Safety
* Awareness of own developmental needs within the post.
Knowledge & Experience
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (to understand and be understood)
* Ability to follow clear instruction and feed back to senior staff.
* Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
* Experience to vocational level 3
* An understanding around basic patient care
* Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and well-being
Education, Qualifications & Training
* Maths GCSE, grade A-C.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or related field
* Completion of the Care Certificate
