Salary: £31,300, with a £1,500 increase following basic training (usually 6 months).Location: Uttoxeter (with national travel and occasional offshore/international work)Benefits: Company van, accommodation and travel expensesHours: (days) Mon to FriDuration: PermWorld-leading industrial gases and engineering company urgently require a Gas Quality Engineer to carry out performance evaluations on gas analysis equipment at customers sites across the UK, offshore, and internationally.This is an excellent development opportunity for someone with a strong scientific or technical background who is eager to learn. Youll receive full training, spending the first six months paired with an experienced engineer before progressing to working independently on customer sites.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out performance evaluations on gas analysis equipmentTest gas emissions and calibrate instrumentationAnalyse collected data to produce high-quality technical reportsAssist and coordinate with Sales, Logistics and other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of the service to the customersMaintain accurate records and ensure competent use of databases and documentation systems in accordance with the quality system and technical processesPrepare and maintain equipment ahead of site visitsCollect and analyse technical dataProduce clear and professional technical reportsLiaise with customers and deliver excellent on-site serviceCoordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project deliveryRequirementsStrong academic background ideally GCSEs / A-levels in Maths and Science an advantageStrong initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and work independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organisational skills and attention to detailFlexibility to travel across the UK (some offshore/international work required)Full UK driving licence essentialWhats on OfferStarting salary £31,300 with a £1,500 increase following basic training (usually 6 months).Company van for site travelAccommodation covered when working awayPerformance-related bonus schemeGenerous pension scheme with up to 10.7% employer contributions25 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more)Healthcare support and employee assistance programmeClear career progression and excellent training/development opportunitiesMy client is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, valued and empowered to bring their whole selves to work every day.
