Warehouse Supervisor
A growing, global manufacturing and distribution company are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at their site in Birmingham.
The purpose of the role is to ensure smooth and efficient operations across our warehouse including goods in, picking and outbound.
With supervisory responsibility across a shift, the ideal candidate will have extensive and varied warehouse experience, used to meeting and exceeding KPIs with good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities – Warehouse Supervisor
* Support the planning, co-ordination and efficient operations of different areas of the warehouse
* Lead the team to achieve their objectives in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by the Warehouse Management Team.
* Champion training & development along with the health, safety & welfare of your team.
* Work closely with the Stock Integrity team to assist in the accuracy of stock.
* Work with other departments such as Transport, Stock Control and production to ensure the smooth flow of stock and goods into and out of the warehouse
* Ensure the various processes, procedures and general duties which are laid out for the area are followed and that your team take ownership and complies with all related company processes and procedures.
* Supporting the management team in improving all matters relating to HSE, BRC and Ethical Audits.
* Support onboarding, induction and training of new staff
* Take ownership of HR topics including return to work meetings, reducing absenteeism and lateness and supporting any investigations
* Assist in the investigation of accident and near miss investigations, obtaining statements and photographic evidence where necessary and generating action plans as appropriate within agreed timescales.
* Support the out of hours requirements of opening & closing of the warehouse, if needed.
* Report all stock damage to the Shift Lead, investigate and identify root causes to reduce or eliminate repeat incidences.
* Carry out any reasonable requests as required, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the business.
The Person - Warehouse Supervisor:
* Strong people management skills
* Extensive warehouse supervisory experience, ideally within retail or FMCG
* High level of interpersonal skills
* Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills.
* Ability to use initiative and make decisions.
* Ability to implement, and ensure compliance with, company policies & procedures.
* Customer focused.
* High level of honesty and integrity
