Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking a Chemical Regulatory Affairs Specialist (f/m/d) to join our team in Dundee or Livingston, UK. The role involves providing expertise on chemicals, regulations, material composition, and chain of custody, supporting global product development, manufacturing, and sales. You will collaborate with global teams to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, focusing on European markets, especially Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive sectors.
This position offers hybrid work arrangements, with possible work-from-home days depending on responsibilities and business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain knowledge of global chemical regulations and industry standards.
2. Understand raw materials and components for compliance throughout their lifecycle.
3. Assess suppliers, review compliance documentation, and translate information into Gore compliance data.
4. Collaborate with supply chain, quality, sales, and technical teams.
5. Manage data collection, entry, and analysis.
6. Execute compliance processes (e.g., industry portals like IMDS, ChemSherpa).
7. Prepare compliance documentation and safety information.
8. Review and improve process documentation.
9. Identify opportunities to enhance data collection processes.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.
* Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing tasks.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Proficiency with data management tools (Excel, pivot tables).
* Understanding of risk management principles.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to prepare reports and maintain processes.
* Self-motivated team player.
* Willingness to travel 10-20% and potentially stay abroad for training.
Desired Qualifications:
* Knowledge of management systems (ISO14001, 45001), PLM, SAP.
* Regulatory knowledge in aerospace, defense, automotive markets.
* Proficiency in German.
