Overview
Power BI Specialist — 3 days per week, outside IR35, onsite in Manchester. Applicants must have their own Ltd company and live within commutable distance to Manchester.
We are working with a highly regarded consultancy partner who are looking to appoint a talented Power BI Specialist contract to support their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that supports a diverse client base across multiple sectors, providing innovative IT solutions and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver interactive dashboards and data models for client accounts using Power BI.
* Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across reporting environments.
* Collaborate with IT teams to connect Power BI to various systems and data sources.
* Optimize queries and data models for performance and scalability.
* Provide clients with best practice guidance and training when required.
* Stay up to date with Power BI developments and the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Power BI SME (4–5 years).
* Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
* Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Consultative approach with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
* Familiarity with Power Apps would be beneficial.
