Overview
We are recruiting a Band 7 Ultrasound Sonographer to deliver high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound services within our Trust, supporting the superintendent radiographer and fostering training and audit leadership.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality Diagnostic Ultrasound service to the Trust.
* Operate under the direction of the superintendent radiographer, organising day‑to‑day departmental activities.
* Accept responsibility for designated areas of work within the department.
* Support trainee sonographers, fostering a supportive learning environment.
* Lead and participate in centrally registered audit and continuous improvement programmes.
Person Specification
* Experience
o National Health Service experience in ultrasound imaging post‑qualification.
* Education / Qualifications
o BSc Hons or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography.
* Skills / Abilities
o High level interpersonal and communication skills.
o Proficient scanning skills in obstetrics, DVT, groin, hernia, testes, MSK, kidney transplants, paediatrics.
* Other
o Ability to perform the duties of the post with any aids and adaptations.
