This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2024), offering a supportive environment and well-established systems. All lessons are pre-planned, so you can focus on delivering engaging sessions and building positive relationships with students.
The Role – Supply Teacher:
As a Supply Teacher, you'll deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects including:
* Humanities – History, Geography, RE, PSHE
* STEM – Maths, Science, Computing
* English Language and Literature
* Business Studies and Citizenship
* Other general cover as needed
You’ll be responsible for:
* Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, focused learning environment.
* Supporting pupils of varying abilities and adapting your delivery as needed.
* Following school routines, safeguarding protocols, and behaviour policies.
* Reporting any issues or concerns to relevant staff for continuity of support.
Who We’re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent), OR someone with strong teaching experience in secondary education.
* Confident in teaching across a range of subjects or specialising in one area with flexibility to cover others.
* Professional, adaptable, and able to build strong rapport with students quickly.
* Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply through Smile Education).
