RPA Developer (Power Apps & Power Automate)

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced RPA Developer with strong skills in Power Apps and Power Automate to support digital transformation within a policing environment. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of accuracy, security, and operational efficiency in law enforcement settings. You'll help modernise processes, reduce manual workload, and enable officers and staff to focus on frontline priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline policing and back-office processes
Develop intuitive Power Apps to support operational teams, investigations, HR, finance, and other policing functions
Work closely with officers, staff, and business leads to gather requirements and translate them into secure, scalable solutions
Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and risk reduction
Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions, ensuring compliance with policing governance and security standards
Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, and policing systems where appropriate
Provide technical guidance and support to teams adopting low-code tools
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as an RPA Developer, ideally within policing, government, or other highly regulated environments
Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Power Automate
Understanding of data security, information governance, and handling of sensitive information
Ability to work with operational teams and translate complex requirements into practical solutions
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Skills
Experience with Power BI, Azure Logic Apps, or AI Builder
Familiarity with policing systems, workflows, or national policing applications
Knowledge of RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere
Understanding of Dataverse, SQL, JSON, or scripting languages
Experience working within NCSC or similar security frameworks
