KS1 Teaching Assistant – January 2026 Start

Start Date: January 2026
A friendly Bradford primary school is looking for a committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 from January. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, nurturing environment where early learning foundations are key.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support in phonics, reading and early maths
* Supporting pupils to meet learning objectives and build confidence
* Assisting the class teacher with preparation, behaviour support and classroom routines
* Helping to create a positive, engaging and safe learning space
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous KS1 or primary support experience
* Be confident delivering phonics (Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or similar)
* Be energetic, supportive and adaptable
* Have strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
