Starting pay: $31.18/hour with 7% shift differential. After one year: $34.04
Essential Functions
1. Welding: Lay out materials, fabricate per blueprints, use various welding rods, proper use of cutting torch and acetylene welder.
2. Electrical: Use electrical test meters, install electrical motors, install conduit, pull wires per code.
3. Boilers: Perform feed water tests, add chemicals, maintain TDS levels, operate boilers on natural gas or fuel.
4. Refrigeration: Maintain pressures, switch compressors, drain oil from ammonia systems.
5. Machinery Repair: Follow blueprints, use hand tools and shop equipment properly.
6. General: Perform duties in assigned areas, respond timely, follow GMPs, attend meetings, maintain logs, support changeovers and startups.
Support tasks related to food safety and product quality.
Education and Experience
* GED or High School Diploma.
* At least 3+ years in manufacturing and industrial maintenance.
* Intermediate computer skills.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Physical Requirements
* Long periods of standing and walking.
* Frequent bending, heavy lifting (50+ lbs), carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Special Requirements
* Follow specific area roles and responsibilities.
Area Responsibilities: Filler
* Meet performance goals, support changeovers, complete work orders, maintain logs, perform preventive maintenance, communicate effectively with operators, and be fully qualified as an operator.
Area Responsibilities: Sidel
* Rebuild parts, perform audits, monitor maintenance, ensure inventory, participate in SOPs, develop tools, respond to issues, manage parts inventory, and use systems for work orders.
