Job Description
Job Role: Control Room Support Operator
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 12-hour shifts, 6pm-6am, approximately 42 hours per week
Location: Anchor Group Services Head Office - Carlton House, Chester Business Park, CH4 9QE
Reporting To: Control Room Manager
Overview
We are seeking a Support Control Room Operator to join our established Control team at Chester Business Park. The role involves monitoring staff activity, shift coverage, and supporting control systems such as CCTV and alarm response. This position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate multiple site systems and monitor booking on/off checks.
* Assist in identifying unfilled shifts and contacting available staff.
* Respond promptly to staffing issues by reallocating staff or calling relief personnel.
* Record and escalate issues related to check calls, absences, or incidents.
* Communicate effectively with on-site teams regarding shift changes.
* Monitor security and cleaning teams by gathering and reviewing information from multiple sources.
* Ensure accurate logging of information using IT systems in line with operational protocols.
* Provide timely information and guidance to relevant parties.
* Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Full 5-year employment history.
* Valid frontline SIA licence (DS, SG, or CCTV).
* Experience in the security industry is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Timegate, Immix, Teams, SharePoint, and Office is advantageous.
