* Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.
Responsibilities:
* The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.
* Identify each patient prior to exam, utilizing two patient identifiers according to hospital policy.
* Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
* Perform portable X-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and the emergency room.
* Provide a lead protective shield for patients, reducing radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
* Accept all assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator regarding room assignment and work to be completed.
* Enter data utilizing electronic medical records.
* Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
* Maintain policies and procedures as they relate to HIPAA compliance.
* Perform any and all other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements :
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT.
3. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or
