Reed Education are working with a specialist SEN school that provides a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for pupils with complex needs, trauma backgrounds and challenging behaviours. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate KS2 SEN Teacher who is ready to transform lives through inclusive, personalised and trauma-informed teaching.
The Role
You will deliver high-quality, engaging and adaptive learning experiences for pupils with a range of SEND needs. Your teaching will focus on emotional wellbeing, academic progress, social development and resilience, supported by a dedicated team of teaching assistants and specialist staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Use assessment data to track progress and adapt teaching strategies.
* Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, consistency and positive relationships.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff to deliver holistic support.
Requirements
* Experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
* Strong understanding of SEND curriculum, assessment and behaviour management.
* QTS/QTLS required.
* Commitment to safeguarding, professional conduct and continuous development.
* Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate effective teaching and learning.
* Resilience, empathy, adaptability and genuine passion for working with vulnerable pupils.
