Overview
Female Support Worker – Ref LP15 at Case Management Cymru. Location: Swansea. Hours: 20 Hours per week; working pattern 8.00am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday (two 10-hour shifts per week). Contract: Permanent. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. Closing date: 21 October 2025.
Pay and benefits
Base pay range: The range is provided by Case Management Cymru. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Pay per hour (Weekdays 8.00am – 6.00pm): £15.50. Mileage rate: 45p per mile. This role offers above the industry average pay, bespoke client induction and training, and ongoing support and supervision from the dedicated Case Manager. You will work directly for the client, not through an agency.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care and physiotherapy in the mornings.
* Support the client to engage in activities such as cinema, brunch/lunch, shopping, coffee and cake, and pampering (hairdresser visits, nails).
* Provide mobility support and help communicate needs; be comfortable with hoisting and 2:1 support throughout the day.
* Be part of a small, friendly, outgoing team; maintain a positive outlook and help the client access current interests and try new activities.
* Contribute to a setting where the client’s independence and quality of life are prioritized.
What we’re looking for
* Be able to drive and have use of a car (to travel to and from the client’s home and to attend training; your personal car would not be used during work time as the client has their own vehicle).
* Be able to drive the client’s adapted vehicle for outings.
* Experience in care, preferably supporting a person with cerebral palsy or a birth injury and experience of supporting a person with communication difficulties.
* Enjoy working as part of a team and be willing to register with Social Care Wales.
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check required. Full induction and training will be provided.
About the role and team
We are seeking someone who fits with a small, multidisciplinary team. The role involves 2:1 support, assisting with daily living and personal care in a home setting, and helping the client to live life to the fullest.
