Responsibilities
Continuously expand knowledge and skills through formal training sessions, self-study, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of ZEISS systems at customer locations.
Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
Represent the company professionally and uphold its reputation for excellence in customer service.
Document service activities accurately and comprehensively, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions.
Constant training onsite and within our dedicated training facilities throughout the program with a progressive career path towards becoming a ZEISS Field Service Engineer.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to join a team of over 1000 field engineers at ZEISS, focused upon
supporting the maintenance and calibration of ZEISS Metrology equipment located on customer sites within the UK & Ireland.
Location
Field-based & working directly from home unless required to visit offices of Carl Zeiss IQS Ltd.
Performance Measures
12 Weekly review with the Apprentice Co-ordinator and Field Service Supervisor (UK). Annual appraisals are to be undertaken by the Field Service Manager (UK), and objectives are set for the forthcoming year.
Requirements
GCSE Maths and English Language at level 5 or higher, and three further GCSEs level 5 (C) or above to include one STEM subject or Engineering.
Strong interest in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, and computer system-related fields.
High aptitude to learn as the role will require significant training.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical fitness and manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment in various work environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
