Whistleblowing Investigations (WI) are responsible for delivering a global Whistleblowing programme which supports colleagues who report concerns, protects them from retaliation, and leads to appropriate actions. The team ensures stakeholder engagement, proper scoping, evidence gathering, and fact-finding to establish conclusions.
This hybrid role involves conducting investigations and supporting WI’s controls, governance, and oversight. Responsibilities include reviewing communications, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, analyzing facts, and reporting. Non-investigative duties include managing controls, confidentiality, MI reporting, and promoting speaking up.
To succeed as an EME Whistleblowing & Investigations VP, you should have:
* Experience in the Financial Services sector or related investigative roles.
* Understanding of controls environments and risk mitigation.
* Data analysis skills and effective communication.
* Experience overseeing internal procedures and controls.
Additional valued skills include:
* Extensive investigation management experience.
* Familiarity with regulatory matters and risk identification.
* Strong communication, reporting, and probing skills.
The role involves assessing risks, leading investigations, training colleagues, documenting processes, and utilizing technology for investigations. It also includes strategic contributions, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, aligned with Barclays values and behaviors.
