The Role
As a Procurement Specialist, you will support the delivery of strategic sourcing and supplier management across assigned categories, ensuring best value and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide procurement expertise to new projects, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development and implementation of category strategies.
* Managing supplier performance, compliance, and risk through effective SRM.
* Driving sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and contract management.
* Providing data and insights to support decision-making.
* Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and contract compliance.
* Supporting new product introduction projects with category expertise.
* Leading by example and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
About You
The successful Procurement Specialist will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing both strategic and tactical procurement tasks. You should be able to work independently, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key skills and experience:
* A minimum of 2 years experience of strategic procurement
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in supplier analysis and contract management
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office and procurement systems
* A collaborative, team-focused approach
* Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure
* Detail-focused with a strong sense of ownership
* A positive, can-do outlook with a continuous improvement mindset
