Cyber Analyst

Salary: £32,549.00 per annum, with potential to increase in April 2026 in line with a cost-of-living award.
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
Contract: Permanent.

Join our growing security team and play a crucial role in defending our organisation against evolving cyber threats. We’re looking for a proactive Cyber Analyst passionate about protecting systems, data and people.

About the Cyber Analyst Role:
This role will involve:
6. Monitoring and maintaining cyber security tools to detect threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
7. Conducting vulnerability assessments, risk reviews, and penetration testing to strengthen security controls.
8. Investigating and responding to security incidents, documenting actions and findings.
9. Promoting cyber best practice and keeping training, policies, and processes up to date.
10. Providing technical security advice across the organisation and supporting cyber‑related procurement.
11. Supporting the Head of Security & Infrastructure and contributing to wider ICT change assurance.
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
Essential:
12. An understanding of modern security principles and technologies.
13. At least 1 year’s experience and proficiency with cyber security tools and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection and SIEM systems
14. Strong analytical and pro-active problem-solving skills
15. Ability to communication technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with other IT professionals.
Desirable:
16. Relevant professional certification such as CompTIA Security +, Security Blue Team, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
17. Experience with threat hunting and incident response.
