About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Copywriter to join our talented Brand Identity team here at Butlin’s on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is incredibly varied and involves crafting long and short-form copy for a multitude of channels across our Family, Big Weekender and Conferences & Events brands. You’ll be expected to support the wider marketing team on seasonal campaigns, turn creative briefs into attention-grabbing content, and inject personality and tone of voice into all our guest-facing communications. Your words will inform and engage our target audiences and help strengthen the brand proposition. As a copywriter, you’ll be writing clear, compelling, and customer-centric copy for a multitude of channels and guest touchpoints (e.g. social posts, DM, marketing emails, website landing pages, ads and POS). Working closely with our wider marketing team, you’ll be interpreting and fulfilling creative briefs using words to narrate the brand story across various channels. This includes large- and small-scale marketing projects and seasonal campaigns, ensuring all content and campaign activity adheres to our brand guidelines and reflects the Butlin’s tone of voice – editing and proofreading as needed. About You We’re looking for someone with a BA degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field to join our Brand Identity team. Ideally you should have at least 3 years of relevant copywriting experience with a strong portfolio of work to demonstrate your capabilities. Exceptional writing and editing skills are a must, along with near-perfect grammar and spelling to ensure high-quality content. A keen eye for detail is crucial in this role, as well as the ability to switch seamlessly between different writing styles and tones of voice to meet the needs of various projects. Being able to work both independently and as part of a team, while also being open to providing, receiving, and executing feedback. Good time management and organisational skills are key in this role to ensure you are meeting deadlines and project requirements efficiently. You should have a collaborative attitude and a willingness to contribute ideas and efforts to projects, along with an understanding of SEO principles.
