Overview
The Bupa Anytime Healthline is a 24-hour, 365-day inbound nurse helpline to manage calls from Bupa customers. Providing clinical advice, information and symptom assessments to identify home treatments required, the need to seek care today or emergency care. As a Healthline Nurse Advisor you will be responsible for providing remote, generalised nursing support to Bupa customers in a caring and respectful manner. You will also ensure there is complete adherence to clinical compliance and regulatory/governance requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical support, guidance and information to customers (24/7, 365 days a year) to empower and enable individuals to make the best and most appropriate use of health care services and assist them to obtain the relevant treatment.
* Supporting with Bupa's elite services and products e.g. Menopause Plan, Weight Management Plan, Genomics.
* Support customers to become more knowledgeable about their health and make informed health choices.
* Work as part of a dynamic, experienced team of nurses, sharing knowledge and best practice to support each other.
* To work autonomously: answer inbound calls, take on clinical responsibility and manage escalations, complaints, onward referrals to third parties, business continuity and make appropriate decisions.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience. (NMC Registration.)
* Maintain personal professional portfolio evidencing learning, development and reflection, also attend a clinical appraisal on a yearly basis.
* Recent clinical nursing experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical nursing knowledge.
* Ability to handle calls with confidence and be able to triage and assess effectively over the phone, demonstrating good problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, good listener, empathetic and caring.
* The ability to calmly and professionally deal with uncertain situations.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to organise own workload according to priorities, to work well under pressure and use your own initiative.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
