Overview
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.87 an hour; this increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. Role summary
Our Pharmacy Dispenser responsibilities include working with Pharmacists and managers to deliver high-quality healthcare services, dispensing medicines, and supporting customer care in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for talented pharmacy professionals who can deliver the highest quality healthcare service to customers and, in return, we’ll provide a supportive team, industry training, and a varied working environment.

You will be responsible for
Pharmacy Assistants are integral to the running of our Pharmacies. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the operation of one of our modern Pharmacies.
* Applying technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Talking to customers, providing information in a confident, friendly and professional manner to deliver excellent service.
* Offering information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understanding customer needs and explaining product benefits in an understandable way, selling only what is right for the customer.
* Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Dealing with clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within area of competence.
* Responding to customer queries related to prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
* Ensuring all dispensary routines and procedures are followed and dispensary/consulting rooms are clean and well-maintained.
* Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Supporting promotional activities and company initiatives within the team.
* Carrying out procedures to protect profit and ensure safe and legal trading.
* Completing corporate and departmental training and keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
