We are seeking an experienced or trainee Contracts Manager - Electrical bias to join a long-established building services and refurbishment contractor operating across London and the South East. This role involves overseeing electrical and multi-trade projects, supporting clients, and managing small works and refurbishment projects from office-based planning to site delivery.
A large proportion of the work will be managed from the company office in the South East, with additional projects across London and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical and refurbishment projects
* Liaising with clients to understand requirements, provide quotations, and deliver solutions
* Managing and supporting tradespeople on site, providing guidance, technical advice, and supervision
* Producing project documentation, emails, and financial information using Word, Excel, and Outlook
The ideal candidate will have a practical background in electrical or building trades, with experience in project or site management desirable but not essential. This role is suitable for someone looking to transition from site-based work into management. Candidates should be self-motivated, flexible, and able to make decisions independently while supporting their team.
Due to client site requirements, security clearance will be required (UK residency for at least 2 years & clean criminal record).
Package:
* £38,000+ (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Essential Requirements:
* Practical experience in electrical work or general building trades
* Experience or willingness to manage and support tradespeople
* Confidence in client liaison, project planning, and problem-solving
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential):
* 2391 Testing & Inspection, City & Guilds, NVQ
* SSSTS / SMSTS certification
* Knowledge of London and the South East area
