We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEN school in Shawford, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing. You will play a vital role in helping students access education in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning tasks
* Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
* Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
About You
* Patient, caring, and reliable
* Passionate about supporting children with SEN
* Able to work well as part of a team
* Experience working with children or SEN is desirable but not essential — training can be provided
* A willingness to learn and adapt to individual pupil needs
