While prior experience with children and young people is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided.
Title - Residential Support Worker
Location - Southend-On-Sea, Essex
Salary - £26,000 to £29,000 (potential earnings with sleep-ins)
Hours - Full-time permanent
Shift Pattern - Varied shift pattern including sleep-ins.
Responsibilities as a Residential Support Worker;
* Maintain a nurturing home environment for young people
* Support daily activities, social engagement, and independence
* Attend to physical needs and protect health and welfare
* Manage behaviours sensitively
* Play a key role in a child's life, attending reviews and advocating for their needs
* Encourage educational engagement and attainment
* Promote independence and maintain a safe environment
* Maintain professionalism and collaborate with stakeholders
* Prioritise the well-being and potential of each young person
* Adhere to policies and report concerns promptly
* Maintain confidentiality
* Participate in training and supervision
