bSupport Worker (Female) – Spider is advertising on behalf of a leading charity for a bSupport Worker (Female) to join their Supported Living Service Team in bHaverhill, Suffolk, which provides support to 6 female customers with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism. This a permanent part-time, 20 hours variable over 7 days, with a requirement for sleep ins.

About the role:
bAs a bSupport Worker (Female), you will play a pivotal role in helping the female customers achieve their aspirations and enhance their quality of life. You will assist individuals in their daily living skills, personal care, and accessing various educational and recreational activities. Your support will not only facilitate their independence but also support their integration and inclusion within the community.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide compassionate personal care, including hygiene, mobility, medication support, and daily living tasks, while upholding each customer’s dignity and independence.
* Supporting customers in building life skills such as meal preparation, shopping, managing health, paperwork, and household responsibilities.
* Facilitate access to the community and meaningful activities, promoting social inclusion, personal goals, and enjoyment of hobbies.
* Collaborate with customers, families, and professionals to deliver personalised support plans, ensuring accurate documentation and GDPR compliance.
* Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety standards, while pursuing ongoing professional development and adhering to all policies.
About you:
bAs a bSupport Worker (Female), you will ideally have a minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role or have transferable skills to support people with disabilities. Most importantly you will be compassionate, understand disability issues and the social model of disability and be able to communicate effectively.
