An excellent opportunity has arisen for individuals to join our team as Health Records Appointment Coordinators. This permanent role is ideal for someone with previous Health Records experience who is eager to develop their skills within a busy, supportive, and fast paced environment.
Based primarily at Queen Margaret Hospital, you will work Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to provide cover at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, depending on service needs.
The Health Records Department delivers a comprehensive 24 hour service across Fife, supporting multiple hospitals and clinical areas. Our work spans Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient and Emergency Department Services, Minor Injuries, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status, and the NHS Fife Switchboard.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous Admin / Clerical experience, ideally within a Health Records setting
Strong understanding of Scottish Government Waiting Times Standards, 18 week RTT, New Ways, and the Patient Access Policy
Ability and willingness to learn, with enthusiasm for personal development
Good awareness of GDPR and confidentiality requirements

Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload in a busy environment
High accuracy and attention to detail
Confidence working independently with minimal supervision
Strong organisational and listening skills
Flexible, proactive approach to work
Good communication skills and a strong command of the English language to ensure safe and effective performance
