Job Title: Head of Social Media
Our client, a multi-award-winning and fast-growing Tour Operator based in Chester, is seeking a strategic, hands-on, and data-driven Head of Social Media to join their team during a pivotal phase of innovation and brand expansion.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee and lead their entire social media function across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others. This role offers a unique opportunity to take full ownership of their organic and paid social strategies, focusing on increasing reach, engagement, and brand growth through data-driven decisions and top-tier content creation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in scaling brand presence via platform-native strategies, a deep understanding of social algorithms, and the ability to blend content, community engagement, paid media, and influencer collaborations to foster a loyal audience.
This is a hands-on role with significant strategic impact, shaping the brand's voice and presence within the travel industry.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 plus excellent travel industry benefits. Please note, this is a fully office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the social media calendar, ensuring high-quality content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms as needed.
* Create and publish platform-native content such as short videos, Reels, Stories, and carousels, focusing on entertainment, engagement, and brand consistency.
* Collaborate with designers and creatives to develop on-brand assets and utilize in-app editing tools like Canva and Illustrator for quick visuals.
* Develop and execute scalable organic and paid social strategies to enhance brand awareness, follower growth, reach, and engagement.
* Coordinate with the Paid Social agency to align campaigns, optimize performance, and integrate creative strategies.
* Lead influencer marketing efforts from identification to partnership management and performance analysis.
* Source UGC and creator-led content to expand reach and diversify storytelling.
* Monitor influencer collaborations to ensure high-value, impactful partnerships.
* Manage and mentor Social Media Executives, supporting their professional development and strategy alignment.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, PR, and digital teams to ensure social media integration across all brand initiatives.
* Advocate for social media's value within the organization by educating stakeholders on trends, performance, and opportunities.
Required Skills:
* Extensive experience in a senior social media role, with a focus on growing brand channels, especially TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
* Successful track record in building influencer and creator partnerships that boost reach, engagement, and authenticity.
* Expert knowledge of social platforms, including algorithm mechanics and content performance factors.
* Strong understanding of paid social strategies and performance marketing, with experience managing budgets or working with agencies.
* Proficiency in community building, content planning, storytelling, and crafting engaging copy.
* Ability to interpret analytics and leverage data to guide content strategies and measure ROI.
* Experience with social management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sendible, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok Ads Manager.
* A qualification in social media or digital marketing is preferred.
