We’re looking for a dynamic Head of Marketing, Brand & Communications (Marketing Chapter Area Lead) to deliver and drive our Tesco Mobile Marketing strategy at scale - bringing together all marketing sub-functions into one cohesive capability. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll lead and develop high-performing teams across all marketing channels, champion digital transformation, supporting and guiding the delivery of impactful campaigns and activities that target, engage and grow our key audiences. Provide strategic leadership across the full marketing funnel, from campaign development and execution to digital acquisition, trade retail, social, and CRM. Build and nurture a collaborative chapter culture that drives innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Coach and develop marketing teams, ensuring capability growth and cross-functional expertise. Embed a customer-first mindset across all marketing activities, focusing on digital adoption and leveraging data, insight, and analytics to increase loyalty and drive growth. Manage senior stakeholder relationships, including significant exposure to executive and board-level decision-making. Oversee agency and supplier partnerships to deliver best-in-class marketing solutions. Drive commercial performance: partner with stakeholders to set and manage budgets (over £20m), deliver accurate forecasting, and apply ROI/ROMI modelling to optimise spend. Champion data-driven decision-making, leveraging econometric modelling and brand/customer metrics to support strategic outcomes, identify business opportunities and inform investment priorities. Work in close partnership with the Marketing, Brand and Communications CoE lead to ensure that the Tesco Mobile marketing strategy informs, underpins and connects activity across all marketing, brand and communications functions to create truly consistent customer and brand experiences. Proven experience in leading and developing marketing teams across multiple channels and disciplines. Strong track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams and fostering a culture of trust and growth. Strategic leadership skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating at exec/board level. Commercial acumen with expertise in budget management, forecasting, and performance modelling. Deep understanding of digital marketing and experience driving digital transformation. Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation skills and experience in econometric modelling. Excellent relationship-building skills and a solution-oriented approach.
