International Research Security Manager

About the Role
In this new role, you'll take responsibility for further developing and embedding NTU's research security policy and process, including compliance with export and trade control legislation and related research security requirements and considerations.
You will be based within the Research Strategy and Operations Directorate, working across academic disciplines and professional services to keep improving understanding of, and compliance with, all required standards of trusted research and international due diligence across the University.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Embedding of the University’s international research security policies and processes, including for key compliance issues such as Export Control, National Security and Investment Act
2. Implementation and further development of the institutional research due diligence process to ensure it is targeted, proportional and effective.
3. Identification, recording, and tracking of due diligence issues, export control licence applications and export licences granted to NTU for exported technologies.
4. Acting as the principal point of contact for international research security matters, including providing advice, guidance and practical help to enable academics to manage their research security responsibilities.
