We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Nursery Lead Practitioner to join our nursery team at The Maples IG11 7LQ.

The Role

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day/40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Nursery is open between the hours of 7.45am-6pm

Key Duties:

* Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS
* Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
* Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
* Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
* Flexible in working hours if required.
* Support daily routines.
* Follow policies and procedures.
* Leading staff members and teams.
* Light cleaning duties.
* Maintain a high level of supervision.
* Maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

The successful Nursery Lead Practitioner will need to have…

* Level 3 qualification
* Previous room leader experience
* Strong leadership skills
* Work well in a team
* Great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)
* Strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning
* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
* Excellent organisation skills and time-management

All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two suitable references

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £29,432.00 per year
