Specialist Care Support Workers – Permanent, 36 hours per week. Would you like to be part of something new? Are you a passionate and skilled Support Worker who is ready for their next opportunity to help make the difference to vulnerable people with learning disability, autism, complex needs?

Responsibilities
* Join a brand new service in Knowsley, where support will be required 24/7 to ensure the highest quality of care and support is provided at all times to individuals with complex care needs/autism.
* As a Specialist Support Worker you will provide personalised care and support to an individual with complex care needs and autism on a 3:1 basis.
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication administration.
* Work with support and care plans tailored to each individual''s specific requirements, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Enable and support people to be actively engaged in their living environment and within their local community.
* Develop positive relationships with the people being supported, focusing on individual outcomes, and working with the team to deliver what is important to the people we support.
* Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality standards.
* Flexibility to work on a rota including days and night shifts, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week).
About you / Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Support Worker within a complex or specialist care setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and unsociable hours if required.
* Ability to support people in ways consistent with their rights, choices and responsibilities.
* A positive attitude to people with complex physical, learning disabilities and/or mental health problems.
* Ability to support others to make informed choices within their daily lives.
* Good verbal communication skills and ability to listen sensitively to others.
* Written English skills, with an ability to contribute accurately to record keeping.
* An understanding of how to promote the inclusion of people with a complex physical disability, learning disability or mental health problems in their local communities.
* Car drivers with access to your own vehicle.
