Main Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a Registration and Compliance Officer to oversee candidate compliance and ensure all right-to-work checks and documentation are processed efficiently. You will play a key role in supporting recruitment, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring all candidates meet the necessary regulatory requirements before their start date.
Reports To
Operational Manager, Human Resources Department, or Director (depending on the specific situation or structure).
Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct pre-employment compliance checks, ensuring all right-to-work documents are collected and verified before the candidate’s start date.
* Use marketing tools to source candidates and generate business opportunities.
* Brief candidates on interview expectations, required documents, and job roles.
* Interview candidates, request and verify references, and ensure compliance standards are met.
* Provide advice to candidates regarding pay rates, training, and career progression.
* Monitor compliance documentation, tracking expiry dates and ensuring timely renewal.
* Maintain regular communication with external organisations, candidates, and internal consultants to resolve any outstanding compliance issues.
* Ensure all candidate records are up to date on the database, including personal details, payment information, and compliance requirements.
* Process DBS checks and arrange necessary training for candidates.
* Assist in general administrative tasks, including scanning, copying, and distributing candidate documents.
* Issue ID badges and uniforms as required.
* Prepare and email candidate profiles to support the sales team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Work towards agreed targets set by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in compliance, recruitment, or administration (preferred but not essential).
* Strong knowledge of right-to-work checks and recruitment compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
