Overview
Medical Engineering Technician Specialist within the Medical Physics Team, at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.
Responsibilities
* Provide medical equipment management services to NHS and other customers, supporting clinical use of highly specialist medical equipment in critical care units, theatres, general wards and community sites.
* Fault finding; repairing breakdowns; performing scheduled preventive maintenance; safety checks.
* Assist with investigation of medical equipment related incidents and problem solving in the clinical environment.
* Travel to and work across various hospitals and clinics within the board as required.
Qualifications
* Degree or technical HND or equivalent qualification in electronics or medical engineering.
* Experience of working within an electronic servicing role.
* Experience with anaesthesia and ventilation equipment is advantageous.
Requirements/Attributes
* Self-motivated, able to work effectively within a team to ensure day-to-day running of the service.
* Good interpersonal skills; flexible and methodical approach to tasks.
