Service Lead – Brotton (Full time) £26,294.05
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Lead to join our team at our supported living service in Brotton. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, the purpose of a Service Lead is to lead a cluster of support services that provide an agreed level of support to the people we support, in order to achieve their individual goals and to lead a full and productive life as a valued member of their community.
As a Service Lead you will be responsible for the management of two supported living services and a small outreach service in the Manager's absence within Brotton. Your responsibilities include:
* Creating rotas, carrying out staff supervision, attending reviews with people we support, and updating support plans.
* Performing risk assessments, medication audits, finance audits and ensuring all PWS are safeguarded with support from the Manager.
* Supporting on shift where needed to meet the needs of the people we support.
* Acting as a role model for staff teams, attending, participating and leading within team meetings and service user reviews.
* Ensuring medication procedures are in place, activity timetables are upheld, and service users are supported appropriately.
* Participating in the assessment of service users and the development of Person‑Centred Plans.
* Facilitating the participation of all support workers in the implementation of agreed plans.
Working hours are flexible to accommodate the needs of service users. They may include evenings, weekends and sleepovers. You will typically work 80% of hours on shift and 20% off shift completing admin work, but may need to work 100% on shift at times.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 3 in health and social care is a requirement.
* Driver licence desirable.
* Experience in leading a staff team is an advantage.
* Demonstrable track record of working with people with learning disabilities in an enabling environment.
* Good understanding and commitment to the principles of Person‑Centred Care.
* Understanding of the needs of people of the relevant service use group (e.g. Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Care, Autism).
