Position Overview:
We are seeking an Analyst to join our dynamic Real Estate Portfolio Management team. This is a client-facing role with direct exposure to partners, where the right candidate will communicate investment performance and updates to LP investors, co-ordinate reporting and asset management initiatives with GP partners, and deliver recommendations and updates to senior investment team members.
The ideal candidate will have a background in real estate investment and portfolio analysis. As a member of the Portfolio Management team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the performance of a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across multiple property sectors and regions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Portfolio Analysis & Strategy Development:
o Assist in the creation and execution of portfolio strategies for real estate investment vehicles, ensuring alignment with investment goals and risk parameters.
o Monitor and analyze portfolio performance including return metrics, cash flows, and asset valuations to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
o Provide insights into market trends, economic conditions, and property sector performance to support portfolio rebalancing and strategy adjustments.
* Reporting & Communication:
o Leverage internal Stepstone reporting teams to prepare detailed performance reports, including financial analysis and operational summaries for senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
o Communicate portfolio performance, market trends, and key issues to internal teams and clients.
o Ensure accurate and timely reporting of portfolio performance metrics.
* Team Collaboration & Project Management:
o Collaborate with internal teams including - acquisitions, finance, legal, and operations - to ensure cohesive execution of portfolio strategies.
o Lead and participate in special projects, due diligence processes, and the evaluation of new investment opportunities.
* Investment & Asset Management:
o Support the optimization of a portfolio of real estate investments, ensuring maximum value creation through operational improvements, leasing, capital expenditures, and strategic dispositions.
o Collaborate with asset managers, third-party operators, and external stakeholders to ensure performance meets investment targets.
o Assist in the development of financial models and valuations for existing assets and potential acquisitions.
* Risk Management & Compliance:
o Identify potential risks within the portfolio and help develop mitigation strategies.
o Ensure compliance with investment guidelines, legal, and regulatory requirements across all portfolio assets.
o Contribute to the identification of key risks and opportunities for value enhancement across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
* 1+ year(s) of real estate investment, accounting, reporting, or asset/portfolio management experience required
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic investment environment, including familiarity with market research, financial modeling, and performance tracking.
* Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams such as accounting, acquisitions, business development, and operations.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in financial modeling, including Excel and Argus or similar real estate software.
* Strong understanding of key performance metrics and concepts such as IRR, equity multiples, cap rates, and cash-on-cash return.
* Knowledge of real estate investment structures, market trends, and valuation techniques.
* Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to real estate investments.
Other Skills:
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leadership and clients.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity.
