You will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while maintaining professional standards and security protocols. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe and effective nursing care within prison healthcare settings. Undertake clinical assessments and develop care plans. Administer medications in line with policies and procedures. Respond appropriately to emergencies and deteriorating patients. Support clinics including chronic disease management and health promotion. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Work collaboratively with prison staff and healthcare teams. Adhere to infection prevention, safeguarding, and security procedures. Promote dignity, equality, and patient wellbeing. Essential Requirements Valid NMC registration. Minimum 6 months UK nursing experience. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and nights where required. Up-to-date mandatory training. Mandatory Requirement Prison Clearance is essential and must be in place prior to deployment. Applications without prison clearance will not be considered. Desirable Previous prison healthcare experience. PMVA/MAPA training. Experience in secure or forensic settings.
