Role Summary
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding RXO Europe's customer base and revenue pipeline. This position is ideal for a strategic, results-oriented professional with a strong background in logistics and supply chain solutions. You’ll identify growth opportunities, develop tailored value propositions, and win deals with mid-to-large-level clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities (Road, Air & Ocean)
• Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with RXO's strategic goals (UK Export & Import)
• Lead consultative sales conversations to understand client needs and propose tailored logistics solutions
• Build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects using outbound efforts, networking, and CRM tools
• Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, and implementation teams to deliver seamless client onboarding
• Use our CRM to maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, forecasts, and client engagements
• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain solutions
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a consultative, solutions-based selling environment
• Strong understanding of European logistics networks and customer pain points
• Ideally located in the south, or a willingness to be in the office a few times each month.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a strategic mindset
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel and meet customers across the UK and Europe
