Salary: £25,322 - £25,623 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 20 per week, 40 weeks sessional
Working hours: 16:00 - 20:00, Monday - Friday
As a cleaner with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver a vital cleaning service across our estate to ensure our properties are safe and clean places to work or learn in. Major Tasks/Job Activities:
* Empty litter and recycling bins.
* Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings within a group of buildings.
* Clean all sanitary areas, toilets, showers, and replenish washroom consumables.
* Emergency and reactive cleaning as required, e.g., graffiti removal, spillages.
* Maintain the care and cleanliness of all equipment used.
* Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as required.
* Deliver to the cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance measurement to meet standards.
*Facilities Management has overall responsibility for keyholding to enable opening and closing of buildings. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be required to be a key holder to fulfill these tasks, including operation of security alarm systems, securing premises, and ensuring safety when closing.*
