Senior Accountant
Location: Oakham, hybrid
Salary: £40,000-£45,000

Main Purpose
To ensure your team is engaged, utilised effectively, and continually developed, while delivering an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of clients with responsibility for their financial needs
2. Prepare and review management accounts accurately and on time
3. Build and update budgets and forecasts in collaboration with clients
4. Review VAT returns and ensure compliance
5. Set up Xero and other accounting apps as part of our technology stack
6. Identify, design, and deliver systems, finance process, and control support for clients
7. Provide support and training to junior and senior team members
8. Prepare proposals for new and existing clients
9. Prospect and onboard new clients to grow the business
10. Build and develop your professional network
11. Lead ad hoc projects as required
What We’re Looking For
12. Strong experience in client management and financial reporting
13. Proven ability to lead and develop teams
14. Expertise in Xero and other cloud-based accounting software
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
16. Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
17. Passionate about delivering outstanding client service
18. Ability to identify business growth opportunities and support advisory services
