Overview
Project Manager - Property and Capital Planning - B7 role at NHS Scotland. This is a permanent, full-time position based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. The shift pattern is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
The post requires the applicant to have a degree or working towards honours in engineering/electrical or a building discipline and a full driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance as well as executing installation and commissioning works of critical plant to support delivery of clinical services within the GG&C sites.
* Demonstrate a high level of knowledge, understanding and experience of building maintenance, complex electrical/engineering systems and water systems in large healthcare premises.
* Work in estates management with a good understanding of statutory compliance requirements and operational guidance within a healthcare environment.
* Provide leadership to those reporting to or working for you, work to deadlines in a demanding environment, and work effectively as part of a team while fostering positive and cooperative relationships with other groups and departments internal and external to the organisation.
Qualifications
* Degree or working towards honours in engineering/electrical or a building discipline and a full driving licence.
* Extensive knowledge of building maintenance, complex electrical/engineering systems and water systems in large healthcare premises.
* Experience in estates management and a solid understanding of statutory compliance and operational guidance within a healthcare environment.
* Strong communication and management skills; ability to work to deadlines; able to work unsupervised and provide leadership; team collaboration skills.
