We are currently looking for a Sales Support Manager – Northern Europe to join us at Chippenham. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Reporting to the Business Support Manager – Northern Europe, the Sales Support Manager – Northern Europe will be responsible for managing and leading the back-office sales team in supporting the external sales teams and management for continued sales growth, whilst also identifying and implementing new ways of working to support and improve sales team effectiveness.
The postholder will also be responsible for managing and executing the SAMBA and Upstream Sales strategy through Northern Europe Territory, whilst also managing, maintaining and improving the CRM for Northern Europe.
This role will be based at our Chippenham site for 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home.
The role
1. Positive engagement towards Health and Safety following all guidelines
2. People leadership of a team of 2 Project Coordinators and 1 commercial report writer.
3. Management of the administration of opportunities within the CRM system to agreed criteria and KPIs
4. Management and execution of Sales Excellence for Northern Europe
5. Management and execution of CRM for Northern Europe.
6. Management of execution of Sales Strategy for Northern Europe.
7. Provide reporting for senior management.
8. Lead continual improvement plans for the function working closely with the Territory CRM Manager
9. Perform won/loss analysis and lead win rate / win value improvement plans with regional managers
10. Embrace, adhere and embed the SAMBA methodology
11. Co-ordinate all SAMBA related administration and OC improvement plans.
12. Auditing of opportunity wins in-line with agreed criteria.
13. Ensure all reports/administration are factual, accurate and delivered on time
14. Communicate regularly and widely at every level
15. Conduct all activities compliant to legal, regulatory and company requirements
16. Successfully manage all budgets within the role’s remit
In addition to the duties listed above, the jobholder is required to perform other reasonable duties (within the jobholder’s capability) assigned by line management.
The profile
17. Experience of working in a leadership role in the building products and construction industry
18. Demonstrable experience and detailed knowledge of core sales processes
19. Demonstrable success of improving opportunity win rates
20. CRM and Project Management proficiency
21. Experience at operating within a highly driven Health and Safety environment
22. Highly committed to and focused on accident prevention and incident reporting
23. Some building products or construction industry experience
24. Demonstrable results and a high achiever in a multi-national business or brand/market leader
25. Excellent training, coaching and people management credentials
26. Possesses sound strategic understanding and ability to make tactical decisions
27. IT Literate in Microsoft packages, CRM Dynamics and SAMBA frameworks
28. Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills
29. Excellent numerical, analytical and verbal reasoning skills
30. Customer focused and market orientated with sound commercial awareness
31. Develops and shares effective contacts, networks and partnerships
32. Exercises confidentiality and discretion, where required
33. Ability to deal with ambiguity
