Your Role
We are seeking a Principal / Associate Transport Carbon Management Consultant who can be based out of any of our UK offices.
Responsibilities
* Leading carbon inputs to design and business cases for transport infrastructure projects
* Scoping and coordinating the delivery of best practice in carbon assessment and management
* Leading complex, innovative projects for high-profile clients, including development of new carbon assessment methodologies, governance, and tools
* Supporting staff with technical development and upskilling, including technical leadership and assurance of project deliverables
* Managing development of fee proposals to clients, including coordinating and preparing technical and commercial responses
* Supporting our Transport Net Zero leadership team in activities such as continual improvement and business development
* Building a collaborative, ‘carbon conscious’ culture across the wider Mobility team, and acting as a champion for embedment of best practice carbon management across the business
You will have a strong technical background in carbon assessment and PAS 2080-aligned carbon management skills, with an aptitude for applying technical work in new and innovative areas. We will help you broaden your experience or deepen your specialist skills according to your career aspirations.
Team Overview
Our Transport Net Zero team comprises carbon specialists working within our wider Mobility Discipline. This team guides clients and colleagues through the challenge of transport decarbonisation and embeds carbon thinking in transport planning services. They deliver services including carbon assessment, quantification to inform strategies, policy development, and industry best practice.
What We Look For
* Experience in carbon assessment and management of transport infrastructure, familiar with PAS 2080
* Technical leadership experience with client-facing roles
* Understanding of Net Zero principles in transport
* Experience using traffic model outputs and Bills of Quantities for carbon quantification (preferred)
* Ability to work in complex, cross-disciplinary project teams and upskill staff
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to simplify complex information into clear summaries
* Passion for delivering Net Zero initiatives
