The Chief Medical Officer's Directorate is seeking to appoint a Medical Education Co‑ordinator to join the Medical Education administration team. The post holders will work closely with the medical education academy to support the provision of medical education at the Trust and work with many staff groups across the Trust who use our education centres.
Main duties of the job
The post holders will provide comprehensive administrative support for the delivery of postgraduate and undergraduate medical education at the Trust. The medical education administration team provide support for placements and teaching programmes for postgraduate doctors and medical students on placement at our Trust. We have strong working relationships with local medical schools and Health Education England West Midlands and are a popular choice for resident doctors and medical students.
Job responsibilities
These roles will be a primary contact for students, resident doctors and the medical education academy, so it is important post holders create a professional and welcoming environment and provide a friendly and supportive service. Candidates should be able to demonstrate they are a confident communicator and able to effectively liaise and build good working relations with a wide range of people. Candidates will undertake a variety of administration duties to support the delivery of medical education; therefore they should be proficient in Microsoft office programs.
Qualifications
* 5 GCSE at Grade C or above including Mathematics and English Language
Experience
* Experience of working in either an NHS or higher education setting.
* Experience of working in a medical education environment in either NHS or higher education setting.
* Experience of undergraduate and postgraduate simulation administration processes.
* Experience of quality assurance processes for medical education.
* Experience of coordinating exams and assessments to regulation.
Skills
* Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure consistency in working practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Able to work under pressure and at times with competing requirements.
* Resilient and resourceful with a can-do attitude.
