We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a specialist school in West Sussex. This school provides exceptional education for students aged 11:19 diagnosed with autism spectrum conditions.
Responsibilities
* Supporting students, ensuring their understanding and engagement.
* Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated lesson plans and learning resources.
* Providing one-to-one and small group interventions to reinforce key mathematical concepts.
* Tailoring support for students with autism spectrum conditions, helping them overcome learning challenges.
* Monitoring student progress and reporting on development to help shape ongoing support strategies.
* Fostering a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel supported in their educational journey.
Candidate Requirements
* Strong proficiency in Maths and English (up to GCSE level).
* Experience working with students with special educational needs, especially those on the autism spectrum (desirable but not essential).
* A genuine passion for helping students succeed, with patience, empathy, and adaptability.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work effectively in a vibrant school environment.
